About the hospital
Why we refer here
Manipal is one of India's largest multi-speciality hospital networks. For most of the families we work with, this is where the first opinion and the first written estimate come from.
Manipal runs multi-speciality tertiary care across a national network, with dedicated international patient services desks and published treatment packages. Cases are reviewed by multi-disciplinary teams rather than a single consultant, which matters most in exactly the situations Bangladeshi families travel for — oncology, complex orthopaedics and anything that needs more than one department to agree on a plan.

What we can tell you
We publish only what the hospital states itself. If you need a specific accreditation, bed count or consultant confirmed in writing before you travel, ask us and we will get it from the hospital rather than guess.
Ask us about this hospitalThe consultants we have profiles for
14 Manipal consultants, in the hospital’s own words
Manipal has shared 14 consultant profile sheets with us, 13 of them for one unit — Old Airport Road, Bengaluru. It is a set of profiles rather than a directory of the network, and the pages below say only what those sheets say.

These filters open the full profile directory already narrowed — 14 sheets Manipal has shared, not the whole network.
Orthopaedics
Robotic joint replacement, in the patients' own words
Every one of these is Manipal's own patient film about robotic knee, hip or elbow replacement, led by Dr. Samarth Arya and Dr. Sunil G Kini at Manipal Hospital Old Airport Road, Bengaluru. They are the clearest picture we can give you of what this surgery and its recovery actually look like. We have put Mr. Kamrazzaman Mandal first: Manipal's film introduces him as a patient from Bangladesh.

International patients
What the international patients desk actually does
Manipal is the only hospital on this list that publishes something under all six of the headings below, and the only one to name an information centre in Bangladesh. Read the language line carefully all the same: it offers interpreters without saying which languages, so "multilingual" here is not yet an answer about Bangla.
Visa and invitation letters
Medical visa assistance for the patient and the family travelling with them, plus help with embassy coordination and the legal requirements around the visit.
Airport transfer and arrival
Airport pick-up and drop-off both ways, and a dedicated international patient lounge at the hospital.
Language and interpreters
Interpreters on demand, described as multilingual. Manipal names none of the languages, so treat this as an offer to be confirmed rather than a Bangla speaker booked — we will establish who is actually available for your case, and our coordinator is in the room regardless.
Estimates, currency and payment
A detailed, itemised treatment quotation before travel, and foreign exchange available through the hospital during the stay.
Insurance
Guidance on how an overseas policy applies, and help working through coverage and payment with the insurer. Manipal names no insurers and does not say cashless, so do not plan on being billed through your policy until it is confirmed.
Accommodation
Stays selected near the hospital and to the family's budget, with proximity treated as the deciding factor rather than an afterthought.
An information centre in Bangladesh
Manipal lists nine overseas information centres and Bangladesh is the first of them — the only hospital here that names one in this country. Worth knowing what that does and does not get you: the page for it publishes no Bangladesh address and no Bangladesh telephone number, and the only contact given is a Bengaluru address, an Indian mobile number and an overseas enquiries email. Ask us and we will find out who staffs it.
Meals to suit the family
Meal options set to the patient's dietary and cultural needs, which over a stay of weeks matters more than it sounds.
