About Dr. Samarth Arya

Dr. Samarth Arya is currently practising as a Consultant - Orthopaedics, Joint Replacement & Robotic surgery at Manipal Hospital Old Airport Road, Bangalore. He has completed his MBBS, MS, DNB, MNAMS, MCh (T&O) and MCh (Hip & Knee), and a Diploma in Sports Medicine from the International Olympic Committee. His fellowships include Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at Manipal Hospitals, Bangalore; Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at University Hospital of Llandough, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, UK; Hip and Knee at Wrightington Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust; and Senior Clinical Fellowships in Lower Limb Arthroplasty and in Revision and Robotic Hip and Knee Arthroplasty at Woodend General Hospital (NHS Grampian), UK. He has also obtained certifications for MAKO Robotic Total Hip Arthroplasty, MAKO Robotic Total Knee Arthroplasty and MAKO Robotic Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty from Cambridge, UK. Dr. Arya has performed over 600 robotic joint replacement surgeries using the MAKO Stryker Robot in the UK and since his return to India, including robotic total hip, total knee and partial knee replacement.
