About Dr. Jayanth Reddy

Dr. Jayanth Reddy is a hepatobiliary and abdominal transplant surgeon practising as Lead Consultant - HPB & Liver and Pancreatic Transplant at Manipal Hospital Old Airport Road, Bangalore, bringing over a decade of clinical and academic expertise to the care of adults and children with complex hepatobiliary and transplant needs. Trained at Indian institutions and further shaped by an ASTS-accredited Multi-Organ Abdominal Transplant Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, USA, he has been central to the development of multidisciplinary pathways for living-donor and deceased-donor liver transplantation, pancreas transplantation, and small-intestinal and multivisceral transplants. His technical repertoire spans extended hepatic resections for malignant disease, ante situm and ex vivo resections for tumours involving the hepatic hilum, vascular reconstruction in complex pancreatic and hepatic resections, and minimally invasive HPB techniques including laparoscopic and robotic approaches. He supervises DNB and M.Ch trainees and hosts international fellows, and his published work addresses donor safety, transplant complications and operative innovations. At previous centres he helped establish affordable paediatric transplant initiatives. His most recent robotic HPB training was at IRCAD, Taiwan, in 2025.
